Clinical Observation on the Therapcutic Effect of Chymoral in the Oterhinolaryngologieal Field

Abstract
Innerfield, in 1953, demonstrates in animals and man that proteolytic enzymes: injected intramuscularly would reverse inflammation and cause resorption of edema. Since then, numerous other-clinical studies have been reported. Enzyme therapy is now for better established than any explanation of why and how its various effect succeed.
For the purpose of evaluating the therapeutic effect of Chymoral, the clinical study was carried out in 30 cases suffering from the E.N.T. disease, who visited the department of otorhinolaryngology of the Seoul National University Hospital.
Following results were obtained.
1) Of the 30 cases, 4 cases. (13.3%) showed excellent results, 19 cases (63.3%) moderate, and 7 cases (23.3%) had no effect.
2) Of the 18 cases in the rhinologic diseases, 15 cases (83.3%) revealed good effect and 3 cases had no effect.
3) 4 cases showed bleeding tendency.
